Universal(Multiple user) Beamforming

Another great writeup from ArsTechnica on the new Asus RT-AC87 Dual-band Wireless AC2400 Gigabit Router which implements the WiFi standard, 802.11ac with Multi User-MIMO (multiple-input, and multiple-output) spatial streams.

There is also an excellent video by Matthew Gast who explains what this means in more detail. I can’t wait to try this out for myself, once my hardware has been refreshed.
